Time to treat myself

Ever since I read the first Harry Potter book to my Grade 3/4 students waaay back in the late 90’s, I have been a huge JK fan. I have read and re-read this amazing series time after time and it never fails to enchant and draw me into its magical world. I’ve been eyeing up these beautiful illustrated versions (illustrated by the very talented Jim Kay) for awhile… resistance was futile and now, thanks to Christmas spirit, I decided to treat myself to the three that have been released so far.

Aren’t they beautiful? Some of the pages are just sublime and the detail is outstanding. What a treat all round.

I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter as well! I read the books while I was still in high school. It’s been years but every time I see anything HP related, I squeal inside. I feel like once you read it and once you’re into it, your mind just preserves the magic. Haha! Loved this post! It’s still pretty nice to stumble upon fellow HP fan. Have a happy new year!
